LCA Meeting Minutes May 11, 2021

Leeds is getting two large planters for the bike path from the city. Need to budget dirt and flowers and who will do it

Marc nominated Heidi Stevens and Tim Recuber for the board. All agreed.
Earl – Memorial day ceremony will not happen due to covid
Ice Cream social pending board of health approval
Aug 28th with a rain date of Aug 29th
Jason – talked with Wayne about the Conservation Restriction
In regards to the trash, he said there’s no need for a concrete pad.
The City will not enforce if for some reason the LCA derelicts any duty
Wayne said that there would a river ranger who would “patrol” the swimming areas
Jason made a motion to earmark $250 for trash removal for the year. All approved
Heidi suggests we make and mount signs asking to please take your trash.
Jason suggested we ask Wayne to pay for the signs.
Jason made a motion to accept the CR for the unknown parcel
Earl is opposed
David is concerned with rule enforcement, and the city being complacent
Vote to accept CR is approved. Earl voted no.
Jason asked for $150 for flowers for the flood memorial on main st.
Jason to write up a Memorandum of Understanding
Earl updated the board on the Bradford Memorial Scholarship

Memorial award available to a graduating member of the Northampton High School Senior Class going on to attend an educational institution beyond high school in September of the year in which he/she graduates. The award is to be used for tuition or books at the educational institution beyond high school.
