The reservoir seems to be the most likely permanent\u00a0setting for this amazing 7 foot&#8230;YES!&#8230; 7 foot wingspanned\u00a0bird. The thinking is that a nest could be in the back\u00a0corner of the reservoir towards newly paved Kennedy Road.\u00a0Several other sightings have been reported as well. The ball\u00a0players at Leeds School witnessed the eagle flying overhead\u00a0as did several folks along the upper Mill River above the Top\u00a0Dam. This sighting, particularly nice &#8211; an arching white birch\u00a0tree, its leaves yellowed, the eagle perched, facing upstream\u00a0in search of its main diet &#8211; fish and trout which are still observable\u00a0in our very own Mill River and caught from time to\u00a0time by those who know the nooks and crannies of one of\u00a0Leeds\u2019s most precious resources.<\/p>\n<p>So, get yourselves outside and take a look around, up and\u00a0down, and you\u2019ll be surprised at what you just might find.<\/p>\n<p>by Jim Mias<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Over the past few weeks a number of Leedsians have reported\u00a0eagle sightings.
